Costa Rica is known worldwide for its biodiversity, both in species and ecosystems. It has even been called “the happiest country in the world” “a paradise for peace” and a “beacon for environmental stewardship.” Uvita, Costa Rica has been called the “Perfect relaxed beach destination” and is known for its “whales tale” beach; a beach perfectly shaped as a whale’s tale.
“Pura Vida” is a term you will hear often repeated in this country. It translates to “pure life” or “simple life”. In Costa Rica it goes beyond a saying, and is embodied as a way of life. Costa Rica is very rich culturally, and Costa Ricans are known as “Ticos”, Ticos have a very relaxed, simple way of looking at life, an innate ability to be present in the moment, reflect gratitude to all they have, and not worry or stress about the negative.

Hi, I’m Jessica — a war veteran, yoga teacher, and heart-centered entrepreneur devoted to helping others lead from coherence rather than chaos. My path here wasn’t linear; it’s been a journey of shedding layers, realigning with truth, and learning what it means to live — and work — from the inside out.
I’ve lived many lives: from the structure of the military to the pressure of the corporate world, until one day I realized I was chasing success at the cost of my soul. The loss of my father in 2017 became a wake-up call that reminded me how precious — and short — this life is. I made a decision that day to follow my heart and build a life rooted in vitality, clarity, and purpose.
Through meditation and Kundalini Yoga, I began transforming from the inside out. My habits changed, my energy shifted, and my external reality began to mirror my inner alignment. For the first time, I felt a deep coherence between who I was and how I was showing up in the world — personally and professionally.
But it was through retreats that I experienced my most profound growth. Stepping away from daily demands gave me space to hear my intuition, reconnect with my purpose, and remember why I was here. Those experiences changed everything — and they’re why I now create transformational retreats and programs for soulful entrepreneurs who are ready to lead with more depth, integrity, and heart.
Today, I blend yogic wisdom, nervous system science, and HeartMath® heart coherence to help visionary leaders and change-makers cultivate clarity, resilience, and authentic power. As a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with over 800 hours of advanced Kundalini Yoga training and certification as a HeartMath® Mentor & Coach, I help others align their energy with their mission — because when you’re coherent inside, your business and life naturally follow suit.

For much of my life, I was overcome with anxiety and self-doubt. Even though I knew what I had to say was important, I literally couldn’t open my mouth; my heart would start pounding, and my face would turn bright red. If you’ve had a similar experience, you know how disheartening it feels to be unable to express your gifts. But the message I knew I was meant to share would not let go of me, and I deeply wanted to be of service.
After spinning my wheels in the hyper-masculine do, do, do mode for years, I realized I was no closer to owning my gifts and claiming my mastery than when I started. There was nothing left to do but surrender. And that’s when my intuitive channel fully opened. It was during this potent awakening that The Way of the Wise Woman was downloaded to me. I cannot wait to share this divinely guided process with you and help you confidently share your gifts!
To keep myself grounded and embodied, I’ve been practicing and teaching qigong for 18 years, one of my greatest joys. I was guided to create the Way of the Wise Woman Qigong Flow. With 18 flowing movements, each created to help dissolve the perceived separation between us and our divinity, this flow helps us embody and fully merge with our Wise Woman Within.

What is the itinerary?
You will spend 7 nights at the beautiful La Cusinga Eco-Lodge. Each day will include Kundalini yoga sessions, meditation, qigong, ceremony, personal coaching, fabulous meals and plenty of down time for yourself. Other special events include a fun nature excursion, a short hike to one of the magical caves for chanting, and a personal journey that will change your life!
What is included in my registration?
Your room for 7 nights. Breakfasts, and dinners. Transportation to/from the airport at designated times. All entrance fees for special events. Personalized coaching. Daily Kundalini Yoga sessions, Qigong, and meditation sessions.

Is there transportation from the airport to the retreat venue?
Yes, transportation will be provided from San Jose International Airport on January 22 and return to the airport on January 29.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Do I have to be vaccinated to go to Costa Rica?
Tourists visiting Costa Rica are requested to abide by the sanitary protocols in place when participating in tourist activities throughout the country.
What is the weather like?
In January the weather will be quite warm. Expect 80 – 90-degree temps during the day and around 60 – 70 degrees in the evenings. This time of year can be humid due to the end of the rainy season.

What is your cancellation policy?
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration.
Any cancellation made between June 1, 2026, and October 26, 2026, will result in a loss of 50% of the trip price. Any cancellation made between December 26 and the trip departure (January 22) will result in a total loss of funds.
We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum (if we do so your deposit is refunded in full). Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travel Guard Insurance online and choose from several policy options.
